Every great project starts with a dream… and ours began back in the 1970s, when twelve friends decided to bet on a different future for Altea, then a humble fishing and farming village. With no hospitality experience but plenty of vision, they imagined a hotel by the sea that would offer more than just a place to stay: a soulful experience.

Over the years, Hotel Cap Negret became a social and cultural landmark in the Marina Baixa, now part of the memories of an entire generation.

Today, the children of those founding families are still at the helm, leading the project with the same values and commitment, but with eyes set firmly on the future. Thanks to that drive for innovation, we’ve become the first hotel in Spain to receive the Bike Territory designation from the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation.

And that’s just the short version of our story. In future blog posts, we’ll be sharing more chapters with you.

What makes us special?

Our location: we’re in Altea, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. And we’re not the only ones who think so, National Geographic ranked it number 1 in their list of the country’s 100 most beautiful villages. Add to that our direct access to the Mediterranean Sea. From our terrace, you can step straight onto the beach and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Costa Blanca.
